The Stakes
What Was on the Line
For BreastCancer.org, this gala was about more than an afternoon out, it was the platform the organization depended on to secure the exposure and sponsorship funding that drives its mission forward. If the event fell short, the cost wasn’t just a disappointing gathering. It was reduced visibility and reduced funding for an organization working to support people affected by breast cancer. EMRG Media had to deliver a daytime gala that performed at the level donors, sponsors, and speakers expect, no matter what happened behind the scenes.
The Challenge
What Made This Hard
A daytime fundraiser gala of this complexity: 350 guests, a full speaker program featuring an Olympic athlete, and a venue that changed without warning on event day, created a set of production demands that simply don’t exist at a standard corporate party.
- The venue had been renovated without notice ahead of the event, requiring EMRG to modify decor and design on the day of the event
- The bar had been relocated within the space without advance warning, forcing a real-time adjustment to floor plan and service flow
- Coordinating a full speaker program, including an Olympic bobsledder and breast cancer advocate, alongside every other moving production element
- Every element, from guest experience to sponsor visibility, carried direct weight for the charity's fundraising outcome
- Ensuring the gala felt fresh and distinct from the previous year's event rather than repeating the same experience
Why They Chose Us
Why EMRG
BreastCancer.org turned to EMRG Media because the organization needed a full-service partner who could act as a single point of liaison across every vendor and moving part, freeing their team from the stress of managing production directly. That full-service model is what let the organization focus on donors, speakers, and mission, not logistics. This was EMRG’s fourth consecutive year producing the gala.
The Solution
What EMRG Built
EMRG Media owned the full production of the event, from venue coordination through onsite execution. The team managed Tribeca 360 as the gala venue, coordinated food and beverage and full decor, and built out a complete speaker program, including Olympic bobsledder and breast cancer advocate Elena Meyers Taylor, designed to make the day memorable for BreastCancer.org’s guests, sponsors, and supporters.
The biggest operational risk was discovering, upon arrival, that the venue’s bar had been relocated without notice. EMRG adjusted the floor plan and service flow on site in real time, ensuring the daytime event, including a full speaker program, moved forward without guests noticing a disruption.
- Venue management and day-of problem solving, including adapting to an unannounced venue renovation
- Decor and design, modified on site to work around last-minute venue changes
- Speaker coordination for a 10 person program, including Olympic bobsledder and breast cancer advocate Elena Meyers Taylor
- Food and beverage production
- Technical and AV production
- Photography and Videography
"We've had the privilege of producing this gala for multiple years, and each year our goal is to create an experience that feels fresh while staying true to the mission. Despite unexpected venue changes on event day, our team adapted quickly, ensuring a seamless experience for guests, sponsors, and organizers. Seeing the event continue to grow and hearing it was one of their best galas yet is what makes this partnership so rewarding."

Why This Matters
A fundraising gala only works if the mission comes through cleanly, no matter what happens behind the scenes, especially with a celebrity speaker program on the line. The BreastCancer.org gala shows what EMRG Media delivers when the unexpected hits hours before doors open, and what a returning client relationship looks like after four years running. That is the standard EMRG Media brings to every event it produces.
