How do you actually pull off a surprise anniversary party?
How do you build family history into an anniversary party?
How many guests fit at an anniversary dinner, and how should tables be sized?
Table math decides the room. A 60-inch round seats 8 comfortably and 10 tight, a 72-inch round seats 10 to 12, and a long table runs about 24 to 30 inches wide per guest. Allow 5 feet between tables for service to pass, and plan 20 to 25 square feet per guest overall once a dance floor is in the room.
Do you plan corporate anniversary events as well?
Yes. Company anniversaries run through the same team with an added layer of brand, press, and program. EMRG Media has produced anniversary celebrations for global brands and for 25-year-old family businesses alike.
When should toasts happen during an anniversary dinner?
Between courses, not during them. The standard placement is after the main course is cleared and before dessert, roughly 90 minutes into a seated dinner, which is when a room is most settled and most attentive. Toasts before food starts leave a hungry room, and toasts at the very end compete with guests already standing to leave.
How far ahead should an anniversary party be booked?
Two to four months suits an anniversary celebration of 150 guests or more, and 3 to 6 weeks can work for a dinner or a cocktail party. Anniversary dates are fixed, so the flexibility has to come from the venue and the day of the week rather than the date itself.
